One of the reasons I’m running for Aberdeen City Council is because I believe in transparent leadership. To me, transparency isn’t just about open meetings or accessible documents. It’s about genuine communication and being approachable. It’s about making sure that you, as a member of this community, feel heard and respected.

I want to be the kind of councilmember you can come to with your concerns, knowing that I’ll listen—really listen. I understand that sometimes the answers aren’t always easy, and I’m committed to being honest with you about what the City can and can’t do. That honesty is important to me. I would much rather have a frank conversation about challenges than make empty promises. If there’s something I don’t know, I won’t pretend that I do. But I will promise you this: I’ll work hard to find the answers and get back to you with the information you need.

One of the things I truly appreciate about our current City Council is the diversity of viewpoints represented. It’s not just one perspective. It’s many, coming together to make decisions that reflect a broader understanding of our community. While it can sometimes mean we don’t all agree, I think it’s one of our greatest strengths. I hope to continue fostering that spirit of collaboration and open dialogue as we move forward.

Leadership isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about working together to find them. It’s about building trust and creating an open line of communication between local government and the community it serves. I’m committed to being responsive, not just during election season, but every day that I serve on the council.

To me, "Your Voice, Our Aberdeen" isn’t just a campaign slogan, it’s a promise. A promise that I will listen, I will be honest, and I will always prioritize what is best for our community. We might not always agree, but you can be sure I’ll hear you out, and I’ll always be straightforward with you about where things stand.

I’m here to serve you, and I want you to feel confident that when you reach out, you’re being heard. I believe Aberdeen is stronger when we work together, when our community’s voices are part of the conversation, and when local government is accessible and transparent.

If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to listen, to learn, and to serve.
